The persecution of Jesus' disciples was severe. Jesus warned them that they would be persecuted, arrested, and even killed for their faith. He promised them that they would be blessed if they endured the persecution and remained faithful to Him. He also promised that He would be with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 10:21-22). This assurance applies to believers today because God is faithful and will never leave us or forsake us (James 1:12). He will always be with us, no matter what we face, and He will give us the strength and courage to endure any persecution or suffering we may face.
