What did king George 3 do in responce to the formation of the continental army?

In response to the formation of the Continental Army, King George III declared the colonies to be in a state of rebellion and issued a proclamation in August 1775 that authorized the use of military force against the colonies. He also issued a Proclamation of Rebellion in November 1775, which declared that any person aiding the rebellion would be considered an enemy of the Crown.
