Russia was slow to industrialize due to its lack of resources, a weak infrastructure, and a lack of capital. The nation was largely agrarian and lacked the necessary resources to develop an industrial economy. Additionally, the infrastructure was weak and transportation was limited, making it difficult to move goods and resources. Furthermore, the nation lacked capital to invest in industrialization.
Throughout the nineteenth century, Russia slowly began to industrialize. The nation began to invest in infrastructure, such as railroads, and began to develop its resources. Additionally, the nation began to attract foreign capital and investment, which helped to spur industrial growth. By the end of the century, Russia had become a major industrial power.
