What credentials must you hold in order to call yourself an art therapist and practice art therapy?

In order to call yourself an art therapist and practice art therapy, you must hold a master's degree in art therapy or a related field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work. You must also be licensed or certified in the state in which you practice. Additionally, you must have completed a supervised clinical internship in art therapy and have passed the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) exam.
