Amos understood Yahweh's supernatural position in the universe as the one true God who was all-powerful and all-knowing. He believed that Yahweh was the creator of the universe and that He was in control of all things. He also believed that Yahweh was the source of justice and mercy, and that He was the ultimate judge of all mankind.
