Hello I will be helping with the written response questions in unit 2 lesson 5:

Question one:

Basically this question is asking you to show your work of how you found X The missing angle. If you don’t know how to find the missing angle here’s how to do it:
The sum of all the angles in a triangle is 180°. Find the sum of the known angle measures (70°x2) which is 140° Then subtract 180° from 140°. The answer you’ll find from that will equal X. Then type out your steps in the box.

Question two:

It says to find the complement and the supplement of the angle shown. If you don’t know what a complement and a supplement is well a complement is two angles that equals 90° And a supplement is multiple angles that equal 180°. So to find the complement we need to subtract 52° From 90° Which should equal 38°. And to find the supplement we need to subtract 52° From 180° Which should equal 128°. Now just type your steps into the box.

For question one:

To find the missing angle (which is represented as X), you can use the fact that the sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°.

1. Start by summing up the known angle measures. In this case, the known angle measures are 70° and 70°, which adds up to 140°. Therefore, the sum of the known angle measures is 140°.

2. Next, subtract the sum of the known angle measures (140°) from 180° (the sum of all angles in a triangle).

X = 180° - 140°

3. Solve the subtraction to find the value of X.

X = 40°

So, the missing angle (X) is equal to 40°.

For question two:

To find the complement and supplement of the given angle, follow these steps:

1. A complement is an angle that, when added to the given angle, results in a sum of 90°.
Subtract the given angle (52°) from 90°.

Complement = 90° - 52°

2. Calculate the subtraction to find the complement angle.

Complement = 38°

Therefore, the complement of the given angle is 38°.

3. A supplement is an angle that, when added to the given angle, results in a sum of 180°.
Subtract the given angle (52°) from 180°.

Supplement = 180° - 52°

4. Calculate the subtraction to find the supplement angle.

Supplement = 128°

Hence, the complement of the given angle is 38° and the supplement is 128°.

Remember, these explanations are provided to help you understand the process of finding the answers. It is important to do the work yourself and avoid using these explanations for cheating.
