This is answers

Which of the following events would decrease competition for resources in an ecosystem?
A disease reduce the pop…

Which competition is exclusively intraspecific?
Competition for mates

Individuals that have traits…

The individuals that survive better…

Natural selection produces animals…

I got lazy
Your welcome 😉

the last question is very unspecific I got it wrong because of that

the answers are
1. a disease reduces the population of rabbits in a grassland
2. competition for mates
3. individuals have traits that allow them to outcompete others and survive better and produce more offspring
4. the individuals that survive better and reproduce more often will pass their traits more often
5. nature selection produces animals fit for their environment

All are correct except on 5 because on my quiz it show two answers that started with “Natural selection produces animals…” and the correct one is

Natural selection produces animals fit for the environment.

ooooof is 100% correct March 21 2022

ooooof is correct 100%

ooooof is correct I got a 100

I got an 100%. Thanks ooooof!

ooooof is correct I got a 100 too

How Resources Affect Evolution:

-a disease reduces the population of rabbits in a grassland area
-competition for mates
-Individuals that have traits that allow them to outcompete others survive better and produce more offspring.
-The individuals that survive better and reproduce more often will pass their traits on more often.
-Natural selection produces animals fit for their environment.

Genetic Variation and Evolution:
-a population of birds suddenly decrease their frequency of sexual reproduction
-meiosis
-does not impact evolution.
-Penguins reproduce sexually, producing offspring that look different from one another
-an old growth forest with trees that are over 1,500 years old

Differential Reproduction:
-resource partitioning.
-competitive exclusion.
-A population of deer show an increase in antler size over time, which allows them to obtain more mates during mating season
-Elephants are being born without tusks, in response to pressures from poaching for ivory.
-It ensures that at least a few individuals will survive to pass on their traits.

Modeling Evolution:
-allow the individual to survive better and reproduce more in that environment.
-Hooves are better equipped for environments with plains.
-an insect species with a high reproduction rates and a significant mutation rate
-Genetic variation
-higher reproduction rates

Evolution Versus Natural Selection:
-genetic drift
-genetic modification.
-The fish experienced an evolutionary change because of genetic drift.
-A farmer intentionally breeds oranges to be more resistant to aphids.
-evolution.

Environmental Change:
-a species with a slow reproduction rate and very little genetic variation living in a changing environment
-a significant change in the global climate
-Behavioral Isolation
-increased carbon dioxide in the air.
-a tree species that is tolerant of excess water

Group Behavior:
-a penguin protects its chick from seagulls
-data collected from a controlled experiment that has been reproduced in several different labs
-helping individuals find mates.
-surround prey.
-Data showing that only distantly related individuals are most likely to perform altruistic behaviors in order to protect each other

Effects of Change:
-climate change
-Mass extinction involves many species over a short period of geologic time.
-most mammals being nocturnal, allowing them to see better in the darkened conditions.
-Individuals that can’t adapt are dying, and species are going extinct.
-the emergence or extinction of species.
