How do I turn mixed percents into fractions in simplest form?

A couple of examples

5 2/3%
multiply the whole number by the denominator: 5*3 = 15
add the numerator: 15+2 = 17
keep the original denominator: 5 2/3 = 17/3 %
17/3 % = 17/300 <----- the denominator is 100 times whatever it is

6 4/5 % ----> 6*5 = 30, 30+4 = 34
so 6 4/5% = 34/5% = 34/500 <-- the denominator is 100 times whatever it is
which reduces to 17/250

before you start the process, make sure the fraction part of the mixed
fraction is in lowest terms, this way the numbers stay small
e.g.
7 3/12% = 7 1/4% = 29/4% = 29/400

Another way would be to change your fraction part into a decimal
7 1/4% = 7.25% = 7.25/100 = 725/10000 = 29/400

Don't use the decimal method if the fraction leads to repeating decimals

e.g. 23 1/3%
= 23.3333... %
