Pls I need help fast,

If you wanted to find the difference of 6/25 - 4/5 what common denominator should you choose? Why?
(I don't know what to write to explain it)

Convert 96 ounces into pounds and explain how you determined the answer.

(Same problem as the other one)

1. 25 is the common denominator I choose because its easier to find the different, 6/25 - 20/25 = -14/25 .

2. 96 ounces = 6 pounds you get that by dividing 96 by 16 TADA

put in your own words and please just for checking.

To find the difference between fractions, you need to have a common denominator. The common denominator is the least common multiple (LCM) of the denominators of the fractions you are subtracting.

In the case of 6/25 - 4/5, the denominators are 25 and 5. To find the LCM, you can list the multiples of both numbers until you find the smallest one that they have in common.

For 25, the multiples are: 25, 50, 75, 100, ...

For 5, the multiples are: 5, 10, 15, 20, ...

The least common multiple of 25 and 5 is 25, as it is the smallest number both sets have in common. Therefore, the common denominator should be 25.

To find the difference, you need to rewrite the fractions with the common denominator. In this case, both fractions need to be converted to have denominators of 25.

The first fraction, 6/25, remains the same because it already has a denominator of 25.

The second fraction, 4/5, needs to be converted to have a denominator of 25. To do this, you multiply both the numerator and the denominator by 5: (4/5) * (5/5) = 20/25.

Now that both fractions have a common denominator of 25, you can subtract them: 6/25 - 20/25 = (6 - 20)/25 = -14/25.

Therefore, the difference between 6/25 and 4/5, with a common denominator of 25, is -14/25.

Now let's move on to the next problem.

To convert ounces to pounds, you need to know that 1 pound is equal to 16 ounces.

To convert 96 ounces into pounds, divide 96 by 16:

96 ounces / 16 ounces = 6 pounds.

So, 96 ounces is equal to 6 pounds.

To determine this answer, you divide the given number of ounces by the conversion factor of 16 (since there are 16 ounces in 1 pound). The result will give you the corresponding number of pounds.

Therefore, the answer is 6 pounds.
