One of his key strategies was employing siege warfare, which involved surrounding and isolating the enemy cities to cut off their supplies and force their surrender. In addition, Khan's larger army gave him an advantage, allowing for more significant military presence and increased chances of success. Not stopping there, Khan also implemented the construction of fortified cities, which provided his forces with defensible positions and strategic advantages during battles. Lastly, his armies relied on the use of armored horses, granting them mobility, protection, and an upper hand in combat. These combined strategies contributed to Kublai Khan's triumph over the Sung dynasty, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Chinese history.
