A jet travels 480 miles in 2 hours. At this rate, how far could the jet fly in 10 hours?

Read the question carefully.

I think that what you have to do is divide 480/2 and then what you get for your answer, you multiply it by 10.
480 divided by 2 (480/2)= a
a * 10= Your answer
Remember, this may not be correct but I hope this helps anyways. Good luck!

Do 480 miles divided by 2 hours to find how far the jet can travel even each hour. You get that the jet can fly 240 miles in 1 hour. Since you need to find how far it flies in 10 hours, simply multiply the distance the jet can travel in 1 hour by 10. So: 240 miles per hour * 10 hours = 2400 miles.

480/2= 240

240 x 10= 2400
I don't know if this is right but hopefully, this helps :)

If you search your question on the internet, someone said:

1,920 is how far the jet travels in 8 hours, the rate of the jet is 240 meaning it would travel 240 miles in 1 hour,

review proportions

x/10 = 480/2

Hopefully @ok and @oobleck help more than I did, sorry I just didn't know what exactly I needed to do ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

To determine how far the jet could fly in 10 hours at the given rate, we need to find the distance it travels in 1 hour, and then multiply that by 10.

Given that the jet travels 480 miles in 2 hours, we can find its speed or distance per hour by dividing the total distance traveled by the time taken:

Distance per hour = Total distance รท Time taken

In this case, the jet travels 480 miles in 2 hours, so:

Distance per hour = 480 miles รท 2 hours = 240 miles per hour

Now that we know the distance the jet travels in 1 hour is 240 miles, we can find how far it could fly in 10 hours:

Distance in 10 hours = Distance per hour ร— Time taken

Distance in 10 hours = 240 miles per hour ร— 10 hours = 2400 miles

Therefore, at this rate, the jet could fly 2400 miles in 10 hours.
