how can u calculate mixed fraction of addition

first you have to solve the mixed fraction to be proper fraction or improper fraction and make denominator to be the same,if the denominator is the same than add the numerator ,the final answer your answer

That's the procedure I use,

e.g.

5 2/7 + 3 5/6
= 37/7 + 23/6
= 222/42 + 161/42
= 383/42 or 9 5/42

To calculate the mixed fraction of an addition, follow these steps:

1. Add the numerical values of the whole numbers and fractions separately.
2. If the sum of the fractions is greater than or equal to 1, convert it to a whole number plus a proper fraction.
3. Add the whole numbers from step 1 to the whole number portion of the fraction from step 2.
4. Add the proper fraction portion from step 2 to the sum of the fractions from step 1.
5. Simplify the sum if possible.

Here's an example to illustrate the process:

Let's calculate the mixed fraction of the addition: 3 1/4 + 2 3/8

Step 1:
- Add the whole numbers: 3 + 2 = 5
- Add the fractions: 1/4 + 3/8 = (2/8) + (3/8) = 5/8

Step 2:
- Since the sum of the fractions (5/8) is less than 1, we don't need to convert it.

Step 3:
- Add the whole numbers: 5 + 0 = 5

Step 4:
- Add the proper fractions: 0 + 5/8 = 5/8

Step 5:
- The answer is 5 5/8.

So, 3 1/4 + 2 3/8 equals 5 5/8.
