John claimed he had a garden twice as large as Al’s rectangular shaped garden that measured 15ft by 30ft. When they visited johns rectangular shaped garden they found the measurements to be 18ft by 50ft. Al claimed that it could not be twice as large since neither the length nor the width were twice as large. Who was correct and why?

15 * 30 = 5 * 5 * 3 * 3 * 2 = 450

18 * 50 = 5 * 5 * 3 * 3 * 2 * 2 = 900 which is twice 450
