Can someone help me combine opposing equations? Ex: 5x+7 and 6x+21 make 11x+28. But only, what if the equations had a negative and a positive. Ex: 4x+5 and 6x-10. How would I combine them?

"combine opposing equations" is not a mathematical operation.

You simplified 5x+7 + 6x+21 to get 11x+28
Had it been:
4x+5 + 6x-10 , notice I needed those brackets or else only the 6x would have been subtracted
= 4x + 6x + 5 - 10
= 10x - 5

had it been:
4x+5 - (6x-10) , notice I needed those brackets or else only the 6x would have been subtracted
= 4x + 5 - 6x + 10
= 4x - 6x + 5 + 10
= -2x + 15

remember you can only add like terms
e.g. 5 apples plus 9 apples = 14 apples
but 5 apples plus 9 pears is just that

If you can add and subtract integers, then you can do these questions
