In "A Day's Wait", the boy interacts with the father in a concerned way. The boy is concerned about his father's health when he says, "You can't come in, you mustn't get what I have." The father walks in noticing that the boy hasn't moved an inch. He took his temperature and the boy worries it. The father doesn't think the boy's condition is serious. The boy says in school at France, the boys told me you can't live with forty-four degrees. In Barrio Boy, Ernesto interacts with Miss Ryan in an uncomfortable way. He is afraid of Miss Ryan because he barely knows any English and finds her intimidating.

Your kidding me right? The kid asked for help and he got help. Writeacher was commenting on the very little information on the second story and bobpursley was wanting the student to use better words to do better on his assignment. The student came here for help and got help. I do agree I have seen Ms. Sue shame students but bobpursley and writeacher didn't shame this student.
Don't judge they are trying to help as much as possible.

In Barrio Boy Ernesto thinks of his teacher as a little scary because she was tall and energetic. He has trouble with her because he does not know english. It shows this were it says,“And when I least expected it, there she was, crouching by my desk, her blond radiant face level with mine, her voice patiently maneuvering me over the awful idiocies of the English language”. She helped him get over his fears by helping him read and being very kind to everyone. Ernesto and the other kids were aloud to speak their forin languages and that helped a lot. When he could finally read a word she was very happy and got the whole class exited. The boy in A Day’s Wait is very worried for his father and he doesn't want him to get sick. The boy says,“You can't come in,” he said. “You mustn't get what I have” and that shows he was worried. When he said this his father went in and checked his temperature because he was looking really bad. When the boy finds out his temperature is 102 he gets very worried because it is so high and he thought that it was in celsius not fahrenheit.

You didn't say hardly anything about how the adults interacted with the boys. And, words such as "uncomfortable" and "concerned" are not very descriptive. How were those interactions manifested in actual behavior?
