Substitution

Solve each system of equations by substitution:
x^2 - y +2 = 0
4x = 14 -y

y + 2x = x^2 - 6
x + y - 3 = 2x^2

asked by Anonymous
  1. x^2 - y +2 = 0
    4x = 14 -y
    y=14-4x

    x^2-(14-4x) +2=0
    x^2+4x-12=0
    (x+6)(x-2)=0
    x=6; x=2, y=-10;6
