According to some acienct mayan philosophers the world is supposed to end in 2012. Is this true? They were responsible for predicted world war 1 and 2 and 9/11 as well. This all happened, and also their calander ends in this year. What is going to happen in 2012?

What proof do you have that the ancient Mayans predicted the two wars and 9/11?

All ancient prophecies I've seen are so vague that anyone can interpret them any way they want.

Some philosophers claim that Jesus taught an interim ethic because many people there believed that the world would end during or just after Jesus's life time. It didn't.

What's going to happen in 2012? The U.S. will have another presidential election. Many people in the world will die of terrible diseases, natural disasters, or human violence. Couples will marry and children will be born.

In short, I expect 2012 to be no different than any other year.

Who knows? Perhaps the world ended in the year 1700 too and God recreated the world in 2008 in exactly the state the world would have evolved into had it not ended in the year 1700.

Then, world war 1 and 2 and 9/11 never really happened.

The World Will End In 2019 world war 3 will consume the EARTH

The notion that the ancient Mayan philosophers predicted the end of the world in 2012 is a common misconception. The idea actually originated from a misinterpretation of the Mayan Long Count calendar, which marks the end of a 5,126-year cycle known as the "Great Cycle" or "B'ak'tun." This date, equivalent to December 21st, 2012 in the Gregorian calendar, was simply seen as the end of one cycle and the beginning of another in the Mayan cosmology.

The Mayans were indeed advanced astronomers and mathematicians, but there is no evidence to suggest that they predicted specific events like World War I, World War II, or 9/11. These events were products of complex historical, social, and political factors.

As for what will happen in 2012, it was essentially a transition point in the Mayan calendar, much like New Year's Eve is for us. Some people believed that significant changes could occur during this time, while others maintained a more skeptical view. In reality, December 21st, 2012 came and went without any cataclysmic event or dramatic change in the world.

It's important to critically analyze information and not give in to unfounded claims or myths. The best approach is to rely on credible sources and evidence-based knowledge when evaluating such matters.
