Describe the two most important events in the history of animal life that occurred at the beginning and at the end of the Paleozoic era. List and briefly outline the six different periods into which the Paleozoic era is divided.

Answer: In the beginning of the Palezoic era, there was a enormous increase in diversity in multi celled animals. At the end of the era, the complete opposite happened, instead of the increase in an animal species, there was an extreme decrease - almost all the marine animals became extinct.

The six periods:
1:Cambrian, which was 545 million years ago.
2:Ordovician, which was 490 million years ago.
3:Silurian, which was 445 million years ago.
4:Devonian, which was 415 million years ago.
5:Carboniferous, which was 355 million years ago.
6:Permian, which was 290 million years ago.

  1. Simplify? I would expand the six periods, at least in each period the highlight of how animal life progressed (or regressed).
example: Devonian period, insects found homes on land, and many different fish were developed, so many, some call this the age of the fishes.
When an assignment says " List and briefly outline", it means that, not what you typed.
