The story is very obviously Alternate history, and it's a very long story so I won't go into it. Can I classify it as "Tomorrow"?

It's a science fiction story, those are the science fiction categories I'm allowed to pick from.
The story is called Akua Nuten, by Yves Theriaut.
A quick summary - story happened in 1950-1960
An Indian man is travelling up a mountain, and on his way there, a plane lands on a nearby lake. The white people from the plane tells the Indian that all the major cities in North America have been destroyed, and begs the Indian to help them. The Indian man contemplates it, then decides to leave them on their own, to avenge his people. The white people then die when their helicopter crashes after takeoff, and the Indian is happy.
