it takes 1 3/8 yards of material to make one shirt. how many shirts can be made from 16 1/2 yards ?

    16 1/2 = 33/2
    1 3/8 = 11/8

    (33/2) / (11/8)
    (33/2) * (8/11) = 264/22 = 12
