rules on adding and dividing fractions
1 answer
when you ad fractions such as 3/5 + 3/5, you keep the fifths the same and add 3+3. this makes 6/5, which is an improper fraction, so you take 5 of the six fifths and make 5/5, which is a whole. when you're finished, the answer is 1 5/5.
