subtracting fractions

4/5-2/3=?

Find the least common denominator of 5 and 3 so that you can convert the two fractions to fractions that have the same denominator, then you can subtract them. Repost if you still have trouble.

The LCD of 4/5 and 2/3 is found by multiplying 5 x 3 gving 15.

4/5 = 12/15
2/3 = 10/15

12/15 - 10/15 = 2/15 (answer)
