please check my answer thanks

True or False
An elderly man tells you that he's experirncing urinary frequency with scanty urine volume per bathroom vist Hormonal therapy would be part of the diagnostic process for this patient.

I said False

I agree with you. I would look at possibilites of a urinary tract infection, kidney stone, obstruction, etc. Several things could cause this and I certainly would not start with horomone therapy. That is my opinion.

what diagnostic test would they do then ? any ideas would be great thanks

You would first start with a urine analysis. This would tell you if there is a urinary tract infection. If by chance it is a kidney stone, you would look for the possiblility of blood in the UA and then follow that up with a CT scan to identify the possiblilities of stones in the kidney, ureters, and the bladder. Again, I am not a Physician, this is my own opinion from years in the medical field.

Your answer is correct. The statement is false.

Explanation:
To determine if hormonal therapy would be part of the diagnostic process for a patient experiencing urinary frequency with scanty urine volume per bathroom visit, we must understand the context and possible causes of the symptoms.

Urinary frequency with scanty urine volume can be a sign of various conditions such as urinary tract infections, prostate problems, diabetes, or kidney diseases, among others. While hormonal imbalances can sometimes contribute to urinary symptoms, they are not the primary cause.

In order to correctly diagnose the underlying cause of the patient's symptoms, several steps may be taken, such as obtaining a medical history, performing physical examinations, ordering laboratory tests (including urine analysis), and potentially imaging studies (e.g., ultrasound, CT scan) or other specialized tests. Hormonal therapy would only be considered if a hormonal imbalance is identified as the cause, which is unlikely in this case.

Therefore, your answer that hormonal therapy would not be part of the diagnostic process is correct.
