Area = ∫x^2 - x dx from -1 to 0 + ∫x - x^2 dx from 0 to 1
= [(1/3)x^3 - (1/2)x^2] for -1 to 0 + [(1/2)x^2 -(1/3)x^3] from 0 to 1
= ( 0 - (-1/3 - 1/2) ) + (1/2 - 1/3 - 0)
= 1/3 + 1/2 + 1/2 - 1/3
= 1
