use : .# x 6 = minutes

I did try to do it but came up with numbers like 5.732360456. Plz help

P.S. Trying to help my son but can't

0.5 ='s how many hours and minutes

2.5 ='s how many hours and minutes

2.3 ='s how many hours and minutes

12.5 ='s how many hours and minutes

1.5 ='s how many hours and minutes

4.6 ='s how many hours and minutes

3.4 ='s how many hours and minutes

10.2 ='s how many hours and minutes

4.4 ='s how many hours and minutes

2.2 ='s how many hours and minutes

First, you posted the wrong formula. Since there are 60 minutes in an hour, it should be the number times 60.

0.5 * 60 = 30 minutes

2.5 = 2 hours and 30 minutes

2.3 = 2 hours and 20 minutes

I'm sure you can take it from there.

how did u do 2.3 i cam up with 180?

Oh and by the way I love this site it help with my kids homework when i don't know it.

How did you get 180?

I made a mistake. 2.3 = 2 hours and 18 minutes.

0.3 * 60 = 18

Yeah for a minute there i thought my calculator was messed up. :)

:-) No, it was just my brain that messed up.

:) Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

You're very welcome. :-)

To solve these problems, you need to convert the decimal numbers into hours and minutes. Here's how you can do it:

1. Starting with 0.5: To convert this into hours and minutes, we know that 1 hour contains 60 minutes. Since 0.5 represents half an hour, we can say that 0.5 hours is equal to 30 minutes.

2. Now let's move on to 2.5: Similar to the previous example, 1 hour is 60 minutes. So, if we have 2.5 hours, we can multiply 2 (hours) by 60 (minutes) which gives us 120 minutes. Therefore, 2.5 hours is equal to 2 hours and 120 minutes (or 2 hours and 20 minutes).

3. For 2.3: We can treat this similarly to the previous examples. Multiply 2 by 60 to get 120 minutes, then add 0.3 which is 18 minutes (since 0.3 * 60 = 18). So, 2.3 hours is equal to 2 hours and 138 minutes (or 2 hours and 18 minutes).

4. Let's move on to 12.5: Following the same logic, 12 hours is 720 minutes (12 * 60). Adding another 0.5 which is 30 minutes, we get a total of 750 minutes. So, 12.5 hours is equal to 12 hours and 750 minutes (or 12 hours and 30 minutes).

5. For 1.5: 1 hour is 60 minutes, and adding another 0.5 (30 minutes), we have a total of 90 minutes. So, 1.5 hours is equal to 1 hour and 90 minutes (or 1 hour and 30 minutes).

6. Let's calculate 4.6: 4 hours is 240 minutes (4 * 60). Adding another 0.6 which is 36 minutes (0.6 * 60), we get a total of 276 minutes. Thus, 4.6 hours is equal to 4 hours and 276 minutes (or 4 hours and 36 minutes).

7. For 3.4: As before, 3 hours is 180 minutes (3 * 60). Adding 0.4 which is 24 minutes (0.4 * 60), we have a total of 204 minutes. So, 3.4 hours is equal to 3 hours and 204 minutes (or 3 hours and 24 minutes).

8. Next, let's calculate 10.2: 10 hours is 600 minutes (10 * 60). Adding another 0.2 which is 12 minutes, we get a total of 612 minutes. Therefore, 10.2 hours is equal to 10 hours and 612 minutes (or 10 hours and 12 minutes).

9. For 4.4: 4 hours is 240 minutes (4 * 60). Adding 0.4 which is 24 minutes (0.4 * 60), we have a total of 264 minutes. So, 4.4 hours is equal to 4 hours and 264 minutes (or 4 hours and 24 minutes).

10. Lastly, let's calculate 2.2: 2 hours is 120 minutes (2 * 60). Adding another 0.2 which is 12 minutes, we have a total of 132 minutes. Therefore, 2.2 hours is equal to 2 hours and 132 minutes (or 2 hours and 12 minutes).

Remember, to convert decimal numbers to hours and minutes, multiply the integer part by 60 to get the minutes, and add any remaining decimal part as additional minutes.
