One gallon of paint (3.79 Liters) covers an area of 26.0 m2. What is the thickness (in mm) of the fresh paint on the wall.

  1. If this is in your physics assignment, I would discuss with my parents how to drop the class quickly.

    The volume on the wall is 1 gallon, or 231inches cubed, or you need it in cm^2

    Volume=1gallon*3.79liters/gal*1000cm^3/liter= you do it.

    now, thickness*area=volume
    thickness=volume/area=above/26*100^2 cm^2

    that will give thickness in cm, convert to mm
