I think I have the answer to this question but need some help!

Display the final answer in correct scientific notation and show correct number of significant figures in the final answer:

6.0223010000 x 10-24 x 2.222090001 x 10-30

And you think the answer is what?

Well i think the significant figures in the answer is 10, as the LEAST number of significant figures in any number of the problem determines the number of significant figures in the answer. But I am not sure how to enter the actual equation into my calculator? So was hoping to see the answer and work backwards! :o)

So i start like this:

6.0223010000 x 10-24 x 2.222090001 x 10-30 (sorry not sure how to make the-24 and -30 small)

Then i do this:

(6.0223010000 x 2.222090001) x (10-24 x 10-30) =

13.38209483 x (10-24 x 10-30)
This is where i get kind of stuck!

Then i get to this step:

13.3820948351123 x 10 -54

Answered above.

To find the final answer and express it in scientific notation with the correct number of significant figures, follow these steps:

1. Multiply the two given numbers: 6.0223010000 x 10^(-24) * 2.222090001 x 10^(-30).

2. Multiply the coefficients: 6.0223010000 * 2.222090001 = 13.381147241186688400001.

3. Add the exponents: -24 + (-30) = -54.

4. Now, we need to express the coefficient as a number between 1 and 10. Since the coefficient is currently greater than 10, we will divide it by 10 and increase the exponent by 1. After dividing and increasing the exponent, the coefficient becomes 1.3381147241186688400001.

5. To maintain the correct number of significant figures, we count the number of digits in the original coefficient (11 in this case) and round the coefficient to the same number of significant figures. So, rounding 1.3381147241186688400001 to 11 significant figures gives us 1.33811472412.

6. Finally, express the final answer in scientific notation: 1.33811472412 x 10^(-54).

The final answer, in correct scientific notation with the correct number of significant figures, is 1.33811472412 x 10^(-54).
