Yes, you're right.

You may want to read this brief description of the mythological Orpheus.

http://www.pantheon.org/articles/o/orpheus.html

orpheus not have trust in wife, but this story not have nothing to do with trust.

When Orpheus went to the Underworld to bring his wife back to life, Hades told him not to look back. Orpheus and his wife had almost reached the real world when Orpheus looked back. Hades took the wife back to death. After that Orpheus couldn't face life and was killed.

The theme of this story is don't look back. If you do look back at your life, you'll be destroyed.

Thanks very very much ms. sue :)

You're very welcome, Mohammad.

To determine the theme of a story, we need to analyze the main ideas and messages conveyed throughout the text. While I don't have information about the specific story you're referring to, I can provide you with a general approach to identify the theme.

1. Read the story carefully: Take note of major events, character actions, and dialogue to understand the overall plot.

2. Identify recurring ideas or motifs: Look for patterns or concepts that are repeated throughout the story. These can often relate to the theme.

3. Consider character development: Pay attention to how the characters evolve and what lessons they learn. The insights gained by the characters can give clues about the story's theme.

4. Analyze the title: The title can hint at the theme or provide additional context. Reflect on how the title relates to the story and its central messages.

Regarding your confusion about the title, it's common for story titles to feature names that refer to characters or objects that play a significant role. In the case of "Orpheus," though you expected Orpheus to be a character within the story, it appears that it may just be the title itself. Sometimes titles are symbolic or metaphorical, suggesting a theme or a connection to the story's content rather than representing a specific character.

By taking these steps, you should be able to develop a deeper understanding of the story and identify its underlying theme.
