  1. You can check your solutions by putting in the values of s


    s=? -1
    then -1+7/(-1)=-1-7=-8 checks

    s=? 7
    then 7+7/7=7+1=8 doesnt check. Did you mean minus 7, I think that checks. Check my thinking.
