There are 7 girls on a bus.

Each girl is carrying 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For each big cat, there is 7 little cats.

How many legs are there?

My answer was 10,990 legs. My teacher said it wasn't right, although it was very close. I don't see how this is the wrong answer though.

2912. Backpacks don't have legs.

It's talking about the girls and cats legs? ^^

Lawls, okay.

11088.
FORGET MY FIRST ANSWER.

How did you get that answer?

Cats have two legs, and two arms.

Honestly, I'm not sure. .-. And...I thought they were all legs...

I did too? I don't think that it is supposed to be a trick question like that though!

Is this a MATH problem or a RIDDLE?

As a RIDDLE, the answer is 0, because a bus has wheels instead of legs.

Math. The girls are on the bus!! And the cats are inside their backpacks. I don't know, it's confusing though. Thanks for trying though!

But your answer is CORRECT on the math part. .-.

I thought so, but he said it was close but not exact.

Maybe you need to add 2 legs for the driver.

We already asked if there was a driver or anyone else. He said no. He wasn't trying to trick us or anything.

for each backpack-- 7 big cats

and 49 little cats
number of legs in one bagback = 4(7+49) = 224

but there are 49 backpacks
so number of catlegs = 224*49 = 10976
number of girl-legs = 14

total number of legs = 10976 + 14 = 10990

The way the question was worded, you are correct.
