Can someone please help me with the following math problems? I am totally lost and confused.
Calculate the range, average deviation, and standard deviation for the following five distributions:
A. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
B. -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
C. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90
D. 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8., 0.9
E. 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900
Find the mean first = sum of scores/number of scores
Subtract each of the scores from the mean and square each difference. Find the sum of these squares. Divide that by the number of scores to get variance.
Standard deviation = square root of variance.
Subtract each of the scores from the mean, add the differences and divide by the number of scores = average deviation.
Range = highest score-lowest score.
