Can you please check these few sentences? Thank you.

1) I spent the whole afternoon tidying up my second-holiday home.
Are you going to get upstairs by lift/ to take the lift up to the second floor?
2) Are you going to walk upstairs?
We spent an awful lot of money to hire a sun-bed and an umbrella for a fortnight.
3) How do you call an album to collect Pokemon cards?

  1. 1) The sentence sounds fine, but I have no idea what a "second-holiday home" is.

    The second sentence is OK too, if you're in England. In the US, lifts are called elevators.

    2) Are you going to walk upstairs? - OK

    We spent an awful lot of money to hire a sun-bed and an umbrella for a fortnight.
    Sentence is OK if you're in England. In the US, the verb would be "rent" and a fortnight is "two weeks."

    3) How do you call an album to collect Pokemon cards?
    I'd just call it a collection. What you display them in could be called an album or a folder.
