Indiviuals can be denied credit for a number of reasons, Individuals who are near limit on existing cards, have to much outstandind debt or too many accounts overall, have a history of a late payments, charge off or bankruptucy are likely to be denied credit. Individuals denied credit, by law, willreceive a letter documenting the reason for the denial under the fair credit reporting act. Individuals who receive that letter should then examine the reaSON FOR THE DENial and make efforts to correct their credit. #5 Avoiding and managing debt is hard things cost so much that its hard not to spend more tham you make. The bills pile up, the utilities cost alot and going to the grocery store is expensive too. Then once those bills are paid, someone in the family gets hurt and needs to go to the doctor, or an unexpected bill comes in like car tags or something we are told to just use cash and not use credit cards to help stay out of debt.Whos going to pay those extra monthly bills if iyts not the credit cards? Avoiding and managing is too hard.

What is your question?

Are these supposed to be the two paragraphs that you said you need to study?

they is 5 paragraphs but im suppose to identify which 2 paragraphs was more effective, focusing on the writing elements rather than the opinions presentes. i didn't want to have to type all 5 paragraphs

Do you think this is the most effective?

Why?

yes its more effective do to the situation of the ecomomy we are in today. The paragraph should include more information on how someone is drnied credit

Good thoughts.

But why is this more effective than the other paragraphs?

This is the assignment you posted earlier.

I have to identify which of the two selected pharagraphs was more effective, focusing on the writing elements rather than the opinions presented.

because the other paragraphs talk about wills and credit scores and avoiding and managing debts

focusing on the writing elements

You have been referring to the content of the paragraph, not to the writing elements ... unless I don't understand what is meant by "writing elements."

??

maybe im not understanding it

You need to go back into your course materials or textbook and find a good definition of "writing elements" -- unless you are crystal clear on what that term means, you won't be able to do this assignment correctly.

Heres #1 a lot of people don't have wills. Everyone needs a will, but not all people have one. Wills are important because they explain who gets your stuff ater you die. you don't wnat your things going to someone you don't want them to go to. My Aunt Martha went to a lawyer to get a will. I did my will online. My dad died in 1988. He didn't have a will. His stuff went to my step mom, who i don't get along with. If he would have had a will. I might have been able to start college sooner. But my dad didn't have a will. A will is a good and you need to get one. Do you have a will. #2 Recent economic concerns prompted President Obama to meet with credit card industry executives in April 2009. The national credit card delinquency rate has continutedto grow in recent times, and the president, along with congress, aims to end unfair feesand increases to interest rates. In addition, the president asked all the terms, disclosures, and statements be clear and easy to read for consumers. confusing terms, often laid out in fine print, arebelieved to have led to the nations rising debt and delinquency.#4Most consumers understand that good credit score is vital to ones financial security and stability. Many people may not understand how a credit score is calculated. Payment history accounts for rougly 35% of ones overall score. This means that on time payments are absolutely essential. Debt level is not fr behind at 30%. This accounts for near limits and the total amount of money owed. Length of credit history is next at 15%, followed by inquiries at 10% and mix of credit at10%. Here are the rest or the paragraphs

There are 3 paragraphs above and 2 more at the top of this thread. So which two do you think are most effective -- based on the writing elements? Be sure to give your reasons why you think so.

When you are referring to writing elements, you are undoubtedly supposed to consider sentence structure, sentence variation, choice of words (too casual, too technical, etc.), etc.

I think number 1 is effective because everyone needs to have a will before they die. If you don't have a will nobody gets your stuff. And #3 because people now days are being denied credit all the time. For too many reasons

You are still focusing on the content and opinions.

Focus on the WRITING ELEMENTS.

Can you help me on the writing elements please
