what is the formula for calcium and oxygen

asked by isaiah
  1. The elements themselves are Ca and O.

The naturally occuring form of free gaseous oxygen is O2.

Calcium (by itself) is a solid, and is written Ca, but it combines with both O2 and N2 in air.
