Can someone give me some real life applications that I can use for a quadratic function.

  2. Anything related to projectile is related to quadratic. Examples can range from shooting a bullet like the example above to a simple action such as throwing a baseball upward. You can use quadratic to figure out what is the maximum height your ball will goes up to, what's the velocity and even how long it will takes before landing.
