    d=sqroot[(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2]

    In this case x1=0 y1=0 x2=1 y2=1

    d=sqroot[(1-0)^2+(1-0)^2]

    d=sqroot(1^2+1^2)

    d=sqroot(1+1)

    d=sqroot(2)

    d=1.41421 cm
