  1. Dear Juan, energy from the sun is important because it heats the water molecules which causes them to evaporate. Evaporation is when the water turns into a gas which is a part of the water cycle. After the gas cools it turns into condensation, or liquid water again.

    The sun's energy provides the heat needed for the water to evaporate.
