Can anyone see any rhetorical device in this sentence?

His father’s voice: You gonna let ’em push you around like that, boy?
“No sir, Daddy,” Perry whispered. “I sure as hell ain’t.”( Sigler 227)

"You gonna let him push you around like that, boy?" is rhetorical. Think of it as more of statement than a question.
