Straighten out who the different instances of "he" and "his" in here.

7)He headed to London where he made many friends. After a while, the captain of a ship traveling to Africa offered him a place on his ship’s next voyage. Again -- straighten out the pronoun references.

    8) He took shoes and clothes on the ship and sold them for money. He made money and returned to London. The captain of the ship died soon afterward.

    Check everything carefully.
