In solving this problem do I divide 3 from both sides are what. I am a bit lost. please show me the steps so I can see if I am right or wrong in my calculations. Thanks you in advance.

6(x/3)+6*2 = 6(x/6)
2x + 12 = x
x +12 -12 = -12
x=-12
