When and where did COVID 19 started and the extent of it's global impact

COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019. It is believed to have originated at a seafood market in the city where live wild animals were also sold. The virus quickly spread within China and to other parts of the world, leading to a global pandemic.

The impact of COVID-19 has been widespread and devastating, with millions of confirmed cases and hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide. The virus has caused disruptions to economies, healthcare systems, education, travel, and daily life for people around the globe. Governments have implemented strict measures such as lockdowns, social distancing guidelines, and travel restrictions to try to slow the spread of the virus. The pandemic has also exposed and exacerbated existing inequalities and disparities in societies, with marginalized communities and vulnerable populations being disproportionately affected.
