Forms of GBV

1. Physical violence: This includes hitting, kicking, slapping, choking, and any other form of physical harm inflicted on someone.

2. Sexual violence: This includes , sexual assault, forced marriage, sexual slavery, and any other form of sexual exploitation.

3. Emotional and psychological abuse: This includes threats, intimidation, isolation, verbal abuse, and any other form of mental or emotional harm.

4. Economic abuse: This includes controlling someone's finances, preventing them from working, or withholding financial resources as a way to exert power and control.

5. Stalking: This involves persistent unwanted attention and following someone, often resulting in fear and distress.

6. Forced marriage: This involves coercing someone into a marriage without their consent, often through threats or manipulation.

7. Honor-based violence: This involves violence carried out in the name of preserving the perceived honor of a family or community.

8. Female genital mutilation (FGM): This involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia for non-medical reasons.

9. Child marriage: This involves marrying a child (usually a girl) under the age of 18, often without their consent and with detrimental consequences for their health and well-being.

10. Human trafficking: This involves recruiting, transporting, harboring, or receiving individuals through force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of exploitation.
