There is no evidence to suggest that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, descended from Alexander the Great. Atatürk was born in 1881 in Thessaloniki, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire, and his ancestry is of Turkish and Albanian descent. Alexander the Great lived centuries before Atatürk and was a Macedonian ruler, so there is no direct lineage between the two historical figures.
