I would have liked to see a focus on developing the timber industry in Washington Territory at this time. The region had abundant forests, which could have been harvested sustainably to provide wood for construction, shipbuilding, and other industries. This could have provided employment opportunities and economic growth for the territory. Additionally, a well-managed timber industry could have also helped to preserve and protect the natural environment for future generations.
