Personally, I think hazard lights are one of the most underused tools in my driving arsenal. Many people only think to use them in emergency situations, but they can also be helpful in non-emergency situations such as when you need to pull over quickly on the side of a busy road. It alerts other drivers to the fact that you are stopped or having issues, making the situation safer for everyone on the road.
