In a paragraph of 3–5 sentences, identify the most important achievements of Bill Clinton’s administration and explain what limited him from achieving all of his goals. Provide 2–3 specific examples of his policies and their importance

Bill Clinton's administration saw several important achievements, including the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which increased trade between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Another significant accomplishment was the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, which resulted in a budget surplus for the first time in decades. Additionally, Clinton signed the Family and Medical Leave Act, which allowed employees to take unpaid leave for family or medical reasons. However, Clinton faced challenges in achieving all of his goals due to political gridlock in Congress, particularly after the Republican Party gained control of both the House and Senate in 1994. This limited his ability to pass certain legislation, such as healthcare reform and stricter gun control laws.
