Unit 6 Area and volume lesson 11 base x height

In Lesson 11, we will be focusing on the concept of area and volume using the formula base x height.

The formula for finding the area of a rectangle or parallelogram is base x height. To find the area of a rectangle, you simply multiply the length of the base by the height of the rectangle. The formula for finding the volume of a rectangular prism is also base x height, but in this case, you will also need to multiply by the depth or width of the prism.

We will be working on several practice problems to help reinforce these concepts and understand how to apply the formula in different situations. By the end of the lesson, you should have a solid understanding of how to use the base x height formula to find the area and volume of different shapes.
