As for my own position in the nature-versus-nurture debate, I fall more on the side of empiricism. I believe that experiences, environment, and social interactions play a significant role in shaping an individual's traits and abilities. While genetics may lay the foundation for certain predispositions, I think that external factors have a greater impact on development.
Nativism, in my opinion, oversimplifies the complexity of human behavior and development.
