You will be creating a Slideshow using Google Slides
CHOOSE AT LEAST FOUR TOPICS FROM THE LIST BELOW:
Geography- Include a map (or describe the areas controlled) of the Roman empire and name at least 3 features or locations and how they impacted the growth of Rome
Religion- Include details on at least two religions as they existed during Rome: Roman religion, Judaism, and Christianity. Compare and contrast the two you choose.
Achievements- Include details on at least 4 achievements of Rome. These can be inventions, military successes, legal advances, or artistic and architectural achievements (like famous buildings or sculptures.)
Political Structure- If you want to cover politics, pick one of these to include in your project:
Describe the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire. Then, make a comparison. This should be either between the Roman Republic and the United States, or the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire.
Research the Code of Justinian or the Twelve Tables. Then answer these questions: 1) When was this made and why? 2) Who made it? 3) What were some of the laws included? 4) What impact do you think these had on the Roman people? 5) How do you think people would react today?
Economics- Read this article on Trade in the Roman World. Summarize the article in your own words by including at least one detail from each of the 4 sections of the article. You can also describe why you think trade was so important in helping Rome grow.
Society/Social classes- Include details about daily life in Rome, such as where people lived, social classes like patricians and plebeians, roles of men and women, or slavery in Rome
Bonus category!!! Is there something that you want to focus on, such as a historical figure, an invention, a war, or other topic that you want to cover more? Create a slide or section of your podcast to cover this. Include what GRAPES category you think it belongs to. Let me know if you need help finding resources to use!

2. Achievements: I will cover four achievements of Rome, including the construction of the Colosseum, the development of aqueducts, the establishment of the Roman road system, and the creation of the Julian calendar.
3. Political Structure: I will describe the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire, and make a comparison between the two systems of government.
4. Society/Social classes: I will include details about daily life in Rome, focusing on social classes like patricians and plebeians, as well as the roles of men and women in Roman society.
