Which explains verb mode

Verb mode refers to the way in which a verb is used in a sentence to indicate the speaker's intention or attitude towards the action being performed. There are three verb modes in English: indicative, imperative, and subjunctive.

1. Indicative mode is used to make statements or ask questions about facts or reality. For example, "She is studying for her exam" is an indicative sentence because it simply states a fact.

2. Imperative mode is used to give commands or make requests. For example, "Please pass me the salt" is an imperative sentence because it is giving a command.

3. Subjunctive mode is used to express a wish, desire, or hypothetical situation. For example, "If I were rich, I would travel the world" is a subjunctive sentence because it describes a hypothetical scenario that may not be true.
